The
Answer

We made The Answer back in 2007. We were signed to Warner at the time, and they still technically own it... so a while back the whole record quietly disappeared off Spotify, Apple Music, and the rest.

People kept asking us where it went, and we didn’t love that the answer was “nowhere.” So we put it here.

Stream it, download it, send the link to anyone who’s been looking for it. It’s still ours where it matters!

Save it for keeps

Add it to your library

Want it to live in Spotify or Apple Music next to all your other stuff? Here’s how to drop these mp3s right into your library. It’s a little easier on a computer, but we’ve got you covered for phones too.

On a computer

Step 1

Grab the files

  1. 01Hit Download All up top to get the whole album as a zip... or grab tracks one at a time.
  2. 02Unzip it if your computer didn't already.
  3. 03Drop the folder somewhere you can find it again, like your Music folder.
Spotify

Add to Spotify

  1. 01Open Spotify on your desktop (this part doesn't work in the phone app, sorry!).
  2. 02Settings → scroll to “Local Files” → toggle it on.
  3. 03Hit Add a Source and point it at the folder where the mp3s live.
  4. 04The Answer will show up under Your Library → Local Files.
  5. 05Add the tracks to a playlist. Open that playlist on your phone (on the same Wi-Fi) and tap Download. Boom... it syncs over.
Apple Music

Add to Apple Music

  1. 01Open the Music app on your Mac (or iTunes on Windows).
  2. 02Drag the mp3s straight into the app window. That's it... they're in your library.
  3. 03Got Sync Library turned on? Then the tracks just show up on your phone and other devices automatically.
  4. 04On iPhone: open Music → Library → Songs, search The Answer, and there it is.

On your phone

Real talk... adding mp3s straight into Spotify or Apple Music from a phone is kind of a pain. The easiest path is to do it once on a computer (above) and let it sync over. But if a computer isn’t handy, here’s how to listen on your phone right now.

iPhone

iPhone

  1. 01Tap Download All at the top of this page (or tap any single track's Download button). Safari will ask where to save... pick Files → Downloads.
  2. 02If you grabbed the zip, open the Files app and tap it once. iOS will unzip it for you right there.
  3. 03Grab VLC or Documents by Readdle from the App Store (both free). Open the app, find the folder, and you can play the tracks straight from there.
  4. 04Want them in the Music app? That part only works from a Mac or PC... do the desktop steps above with Sync Library on, and they'll show up on your iPhone automatically.
Android

Android

  1. 01Tap Download All at the top of this page (or tap any track's Download button). The files land in your Downloads folder.
  2. 02If you grabbed the zip, open it with your phone's Files app and extract it.
  3. 03Open the files with any music app that handles local playback... VLC, Poweramp, or your phone's built-in music player all work great.
  4. 04Want them in YouTube Music? Go to music.youtube.com on a computer, upload the mp3s, and they'll sync to your Android in a few minutes.
  5. 05Spotify on Android works the same way as iPhone... add Local Files on a desktop first, then sync over Wi-Fi.
